Youth in a Bottle?


My hubby Jason is a huge fan of Olive Oil! He uses it in all of his cooking and now I use it in so many more things as well! I was trying to find out what other things Olive Oil was good for and came accross this Dr.Oz video. One of the most important points he makes is that by having olive oil you are reducing your mortality rate by 50%! Wow pretty impressive! Check out the video and start using olive oil in your cooking...hair..and maybe even to shave??

Why do women outlive men! I think it's because of our girlfriends!


Hey everyone, I wanted to dedicate this post to my girlfriends who are always there when I need them.


According to statistics Canada women live longer than men - 78 vs 83! I think a major reason could be that men are more stressed than women are. The major difference between men and women in dealing with their stress is that we have a better support system than they do.
Women talk... about everything to their friends. They share most of their daily issues with the people around, their friends and their mothers. From family to marriage to work to shopping , you name it we talk about it.


Talking about things reduces stress which is a major cause of many health related problems. By talking and being great at it, women reduce their stress and therefore live longer! (At least that's my humble opinion) I am sure there are more reasons why women live longer like eating habits and the attention they give to the messages their body give them but I am a big believer that stress relief can greatly reduce health problems.

So men, if you've learned anything from me today is should be ...Talk talk talk, Share your feelings... you're friends will think it strange at first but this might get them to open up and we will all live happily ever after for much longer..

Easy and Healthy Sides

After creating a main dish, you'll be in need of some easy healthy sides. Here are two recipes that we have enjoyed for years and most import are easy to make!

First - How to make Easy Asparagus
This is a very easy side dish to prepare and it's ready in under 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 500. Place the asparagus on a cooking tray and drizzle
with olive oil. Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top. Broil for 10-12 minutes.

Second - Baked Cauliflower
This is a favorite in my house. It's a healthy twist on a Lebanese classic, fried
Cauliflower.
Cut the Cauliflower into 2" pieces. Place in a bowl and add Olive oil, mix everything together and place on a baking tray. Set the oven to 450F and cook for approximately 10 minutes.
Once the Cauliflower have turned light brown, remove from the oven, sprinkle some salt, serve and enjoy.
