Your family or mine?

Easter, Christmas, long weekends, who do we spend them with? Your family or mine? Is it one year here, one there?

Whether your family is big or small, who you spend the holidays with can sometime be hard to determine.

As for us, we don't want to upset either side of the family so, we've created a schedule! As most holidays are celebrated over a few days, a dinner here, a breakfast there, a lunch back here, and the 2nd dinner anywhere, is usually the formula that works for us!

How do you do it?
Are you one of those lucky couples where both families have known each other for years and celebrate these events together?

Or do you hide in your home and decide not to go to either?

My married truth is that I can't let these decisions stress me! We are lucky enough to both have crazy families that are loads of fun to be with. The holidays and long weekends are a great time to re-connect, have a few good laughs and share the love!

What's your story? How do you do it?

you will wait an eternity for that eternity ring!!!

Is what a buddy of mine said to his wife while all the men in the room silently agreed! Are diamonds really a girl's best friend! Some girls really love their diamonds and feel like princesses when they get one. My question is, does everyone get an eternity ring and if so, when is it the right time for one? Another thing the girls mentioned last night was the concept of a push ring instead of a push gift! Are we moving towards a push ring?

When on your next visit to Birks, or the Tiffany web site check out all the beautiful options that are there for you to pick from. For some the $$ may not be a problem but for the rest of us, carefully time the different events so that enough is saved up to buy the next ring!! Hey Babe, so eternity at 5 years? Only 2 more to go for me! Or will the push ring come first?

6 red flags he's not the one!!

There is so much I wanna say!! I wanna talk about love, I wanna talk about money, I wanna talk about work, a healthy balanced life but today I'd rather ask you, how do you even know he's the one!! Before you tie the knot, check out these 6 red flags that could save you a whole lot of trouble ahead. See if your guy is the one for you! (this goes the other way around also : see if SHE is right for you)

  1. You always catch him lying! Not a good idea to stick around... who knows how many of those were directed to you and /or if they were caught

  2. He has no responsibilities, nothing matters, never had anything to be responsible for. RUN.

  3. Money is often the root of arguments so if he's stingy & cheap, leave. Notice I didn't say POOR I said stingy. Even the poorest of guys find ways to give from their hearts.

  4. This guy is WAYYYY too attached to his parents. If he is pathologically attached to his family you should watch out.

  5. Stay away from a violent man. Your safety should be your number one! Don't think he might change after the ring. They usually don't unless they get professional help.

  6. Has jumped around from one relationship to the next without caring about who he hurt along the way. You don't want to be the next check mark on anyone's list.

Love is a crazy ride once your in it! What's great is that you have power to make it the best ride you've ever been on. See you all tomorrow!
