Have you ever had to face a mouse??

A newly wed couple, friends of ours, found mice in there house. They are extremely hygienic, (the couple that is), so I know it is not because they have a dirty household. The mice just decided to move in. A whole family of them found their way into a column in the house.
 
I find mice to be so adorable. I have Cinderella (good old Disney movies) to thank for my love for mice. According to my hubby, and a few articles I read, mice can destroy the house. They can damage food and food packaging they can chew up the electrical wires start ruining the wood behind the walls. They can also carry diseases that can be deadly. If you gotta get them out of the house, you can always call Terminix or just take matters into your own hands by searching How to Get a Mouse Out of the House: on WikiHow. Is your new family ready to adopt a pet?

I Gotta say, having a pet has added so much to our lives but it hasn't always been easy. When we were looking in the paper for a pet and visiting pet shops for the cute addition to our family I only saw the $ on the add. I didn't see the other expenses that would follow, the sacrifices that we would have to make with our time and the extra cleaning that came with dog related messes. My (sometimes) smarter half, well he was doing research, reading books and figuring out which pet would best fit our lifestyle. Now I can't imagine a life without Zorro!

I found this great link that goes through the things one should think about when considering a pet. Dogs need lots of time and attention. Cats on the other hand could be a whole lot more independent. Mice are cute! Birds can chirp a bit too early but nothing compares to the joy they bring to your life, if you can handle them.

In the beginning its hard but once you have a routine going things are great... Give your pet a chance don't get one then give it away a few weeks later. If your lifestyle has no place for a pet then try not to fall for one because its only harder when you have to let them go or find them a new home.
